02 · CAREFUL APPRAISAL
Since 1973, CONTÉVANOU has worked with watches and jewelry in Tokyo. We examine each item carefully rather than judging it from a model name alone.
Condition, movement, exterior, gemstones, materials, accessories and current market demand may all affect the valuation. We explain the result clearly before you decide whether to proceed.
03 · APPRAISAL CATEGORIES
Bring the item to our Yoyogi boutique for a detailed assessment. A preliminary consultation from photos is also available before your visit.
Mechanical, quartz, vintage and discontinued watches can be discussed. Items without a box or warranty card, and watches that are not currently running, may still be assessed.
Original box, warranty papers, spare bracelet links, straps and service records may help us understand the item more fully.
We welcome consultations for diamonds, emeralds, rubies, sapphires, colored stones, gold, platinum and selected other materials. Branded and unbranded pieces may be assessed.
Broken chains, jewelry with an outdated design and loose gemstones can also be reviewed. Specialist confirmation may be arranged when necessary.
Selected bags can be assessed through our specialist partner network. The brand, model, material, condition and included accessories are reviewed before a value is presented.

05 · BEFORE YOUR VISIT
Accessories are not always required, but they can help us confirm the history and completeness of an item. Bring whatever is available.
06 · PHOTO CONSULTATION
Share the brand, model or reference number, overall condition and clear photos. We can confirm whether the item is suitable for appraisal and provide preliminary guidance.
For watches, include the dial, case back, bracelet or strap, clasp, box and papers. For jewelry and bags, include the entire item, hallmarks, labels, corners and any visible damage.
07 · OUR APPROACH
We value repair, reuse and responsible circulation. A watch or piece of jewelry may continue its story through maintenance, restoration or a new owner.
We assess the actual item and explain the factors considered, rather than relying only on a quick visual estimate.
