01 · CUSTOM PARTS

A repair route when replacement parts cannot be found

When a manufacturer has ended parts supply or an original component is unavailable, fabrication may provide a route to repair. We compare the damaged or remaining component with the watch itself and consider the shape, function, material and required precision.

  • Exterior components such as crowns, crystals, bezels, case backs and selected case parts
  • Selected movement components, screws, shafts and related small parts
  • Sourcing of available manufacturer parts or compatible alternatives
  • Overhaul and adjustment when required for the complete repair

Feasibility depends on the watch, remaining samples, required tolerances, material and surrounding damage. We may be unable to fabricate a part when safe operation or adequate durability cannot be expected.

02 · PRICE GUIDE

Custom watch parts price guide

The following prices are starting points including Japanese consumption tax. A final quotation is issued after inspection because dimensions, materials, finish, complexity and the condition of related parts vary by watch.

Crown fabrication From ¥17,600 incl. tax
Glass crystal fabrication From ¥42,680 incl. tax
Sapphire crystal fabrication From ¥71,500 incl. tax
Bezel fabrication From ¥49,500 incl. tax
Movement components and other custom parts Quotation required after inspection Case components, case backs, screws, shafts and special shapes are quoted individually.

The prices above cover part fabrication only as a guide. Disassembly, overhaul, fitting, adjustment, waterproof testing, refinishing, shipping and additional repairs may be quoted separately when required.

03 · REPAIR OPTIONS

We compare fabrication, sourcing and alternative repair methods

Fabrication is not automatically the best answer for every watch. We consider originality, function, durability, cost and future maintenance before recommending a repair route.

01 · FABRICATION

Custom part fabrication

A new component is designed from the watch, damaged part, drawings or available samples. The finished specification may differ from the original where material or manufacturing conditions require it.

02 · SOURCING

Available parts sourcing

When suitable manufacturer parts or compatible components are still available, sourcing may be more appropriate than fabrication. Availability varies by brand, model and production period.

03 · COMPLETE REPAIR

Repair beyond the missing part

A broken part may be the result of wear, corrosion, shock or a movement fault. We inspect related components and may recommend overhaul, adjustment or exterior repair to restore reliable operation.

Water resistance depends on the complete case structure, gasket condition and component accuracy. Even after a crystal, crown or case part is replaced, the original water-resistance rating may not be recoverable. We explain the expected result after inspection.

04 · SERVICE PROCESS

From inspection to final delivery

Custom parts work requires measurement, design and fitting checks. The schedule is confirmed after the repair specification has been determined.

Consultation

Tell us the fault, repair history and your priorities. Please bring the watch and any detached or broken parts.

Inspection

We check structure, dimensions, material, movement condition and the availability of replacement parts.

Proposal and quote

We explain fabrication feasibility, repair scope, expected finish, price and estimated lead time.

Fabrication and repair

Work begins after approval. The part is fabricated, fitted and adjusted together with any agreed repair work.

Final inspection

Operation, fitting and appearance are checked before delivery. We also explain handling and future maintenance points.

FAQ · CUSTOM WATCH PARTS

Frequently asked questions about custom watch parts

Feasibility, price and lead time vary with the brand, model, age, construction, remaining parts and condition. The most accurate guidance is provided after inspection of the actual watch.

Can parts be fabricated for any watch?

No. Feasibility depends on the structure, required precision, material, available samples and the condition of related components. We may decline work when safe operation, durability or an acceptable finish cannot be expected.

Do you need to see the actual watch?

Yes. Accurate measurement and inspection of the attachment, surrounding components and movement condition are required. Photographs can support an initial discussion, but a final quotation requires the watch itself.

What parts can you fabricate?

We accept consultations for crowns, glass or sapphire crystals, bezels, selected case components, case backs, screws, shafts and movement components. The range of work is determined after inspection.

How is the final price determined?

The quotation reflects dimensions, material, shape, finish, required tolerances, manufacturing complexity and related repair work. Disassembly, overhaul, fitting, testing and additional repairs may be quoted separately.

How long does custom parts fabrication take?

Lead time varies substantially with design, material, manufacturing process, fitting and any accompanying repair. We provide an estimate after the work specification has been determined.

Can you source manufacturer parts instead of fabricating them?

When suitable parts remain available, sourcing may be possible and may be preferable to fabrication. Availability depends on the brand, reference, production period and supplier conditions.

Will a fabricated part be exactly the same as the original?

Not always. We aim to reproduce the necessary shape and function, but materials, manufacturing methods, color, texture or small details may differ from the original. The expected result is explained before work begins.

Can the original water resistance be restored?

Not necessarily. Water resistance depends on the complete case, gaskets, crown, crystal and component accuracy. The original rating may not be recoverable, especially for older or corroded watches. Testing options are explained after inspection.

Can you repair antique or vintage watches?

Yes, consultations are welcome. However, aged materials, corrosion, previous repairs and the absence of reference parts can limit what is possible. We prioritize preserving the watch and avoiding unnecessary risk.

Can you quote from photographs alone?

Photographs can help us understand the issue and advise whether an inspection is worthwhile, but they do not reveal exact dimensions, internal condition or hidden damage. A final quotation requires physical inspection.

Bring the watch together with any detached parts, broken fragments, previous repair documents or reference photographs. A reservation helps us allocate time for a detailed inspection.
