Collection: MINASE

A century of watchmaking

MINASE is one of the few Japanese watch brands to use Zaratsu polishing (also known as Zaratsu). This hand-finishing technique, which gives steel components a perfectly smooth surface, has its roots in Hayashi Seiki, a case manufacturer that was one of the first in Japan to adopt the technology originally developed by Swiss and German polishing machine manufacturers. Just polishing a single link of a steel bracelet requires up to 479 steps and over 15 hours of meticulous handwork.

800 pairs per year. Thorough quality and the Japanese spirit of "monozukuri" (manufacturing) are possible only through small-scale production. Outstanding technology, know-how, pride, and dedication are embodied in each pair. We are an authorized MINASE dealer of CONTÉVANOU . Please come and try them on in store. Please come and experience them for yourself.

Being serious about manufacturing

The glass and bezel have beautiful curves, and the bezel, lugs, and indexes are delicately cut, before being polished with Zaratsu polishing to bring out a sharp shine and three-dimensional effect.

Furthermore, the case is designed with a gentle curve that follows the curve of the wrist, providing an excellent fit.

CONTÉVANOU respects MINASE's sincere approach to "manufacturing," and we place the utmost importance on working together to enable customers to experience the appeal of the actual machine.

Please come to our store and experience the MINASE that can only be enjoyed at CONTÉVANOU .

DIVIDO uses a case-in-case structure, and when you look at it from the front, you'll notice that it has a design that is open on all sides, like a skeleton.

Furthermore, the case and lugs are disassembled, creating a polyhedral, three-dimensional shape that cannot be achieved with a one-piece case.

The DIVIDO 2.0 (VM14 series) has undergone a minor change to a movement equipped with a special rotor.

It has evolved into a more durable model.

Uruga is MINASE's new masterpiece.

The collection name "Uruga" comes from the Japanese word "beautiful ." This word embodies the Japanese concept of "beauty"—elegance, nobility, and spiritual dignity. It refers to the dignified beauty of, for example, the jewelry worn by royalty and aristocrats, or the sparkle in the eyes of cool, beautiful Hollywood actresses.

In order to express this uniquely Japanese beauty in a watch, MINASE has designed the entire watch to resemble a beautiful jewel.

It also features a unique clamping structure in which the bezel, glass, and case are clamped from above and below by four claws .

Thus, the unique Uruga collection was born.

Another attractive feature of SEVEN WINDOWS is the sharp ridges of the case, reminiscent of the edge of a Japanese sword.

Smoothness and sharpness - SALLAZ polishing , which manually achieves the ultimate in contrasting beauty, is truly a miracle of skill.

Another major feature is the case-in-case structure, which makes the inner case that supports the movement, the three-dimensional dial, and the ring-shaped three-dimensional indexes appear to float in the air.

The design beauty unique to MINASE exudes an overwhelming presence.
