The Tiffany & Co. watch that was requested by the owner was now working properly after the battery was replaced.
Quartz watches are very easy to use for everyday use because they keep time reliably as long as the battery does not run out.
However, if you leave your watch with a dead battery for a long period of time, the battery may leak and cause problems with the movement. In the worst case scenario, a battery replacement alone may not be enough to fix the problem, and an overhaul (disassembly and repair) may be required, which can be quite costly.
The owner was relieved to be able to confirm that it was working properly.
Since this was a rare opportunity, we also consulted about replacing the belt, as the customer requested, "I'd like to clean the belt as well."
The original strap that came with the watch was a genuine double-wrap strap from Tiffany & Co. It has a sophisticated design and a slightly unusual size, with a case width of 17mm and a buckle width of 14mm, so your strap choices are limited.
This time, we chose a black color that doesn't change the atmosphere too much, and the customer requested that the original buckle be used as is, so we replaced the strap with one that was the perfect size and color.
